BLACK VOYAGE – PRODUCT LIFE TIME WARRANTY POLICY

At Black Voyage, we believe exceptional design should go hand-in-hand with durability. Our products are rigorously crafted to stand up to the demands of modern travel and everyday use. That’s why we offer a Limited Product Lifetime Warranty—a commitment to support our customers in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect.

This warranty is designed to protect both the customer and our company in a fair and sustainable manner. It is limited, non-transferable, and subject to approval and conditions outlined below.

 


 

SECTION 1: SCOPE OF COVERAGE

This Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to manufacturing defects only, and covers:

  • Broken or malfunctioning zippers

  • Failures in stitching or seams

  • Cracks or fractures in hard shell components (not caused by impact)

  • Wheels or handles that fail under normal use

  • Structural or material flaws that prevent normal functionality

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to repair, replace, or decline a warranty claim. If the original item is no longer available, we may issue a comparable functional replacement—regardless of color, design, or series.

All approved replacements are limited to a one-time issue per original purchase. Once a product has been replaced or repaired under this warranty, it is no longer eligible for further warranty claims.

 

SECTION 2: WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this warranty, the following conditions must be met:

  1. You must be the original purchaser or original gift recipient.

  2. You must REGISTER upon purchase within the first 90 days

  3. The product must have been purchased directly from authorized Black Voyage channels.

This warranty is non-transferable and is void if the product was obtained from unauthorized resellers, second-hand platforms, or any non-verified dealer.

 

SECTION 3: EXCLUSIONS – WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover the following:

 

General wear and tear (including fading, scuffs, surface scratches, peeling, UV damage)

  • Accidental damage (e.g., being dropped, airline or transit abuse, water exposure, or crushing)

  • Negligence, improper care, or storage in extreme conditions (heat, moisture, etc.)

  • Unauthorized repairs, tampering, or modifications

  • Cosmetic issues that do not impair functionality

  • Loss, theft, or intentional destruction

  • Clearance, promotional, or final sale items

  • Damage caused by third-party repair services

 

SECTION 4: CUSTOMER COST RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure long-term sustainability and fairness:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs to our facility for inspection or repair.

  • If a claim is approved, we will cover the cost of return shipping of the repaired or replacement item.

  • If a claim is not approved, the customer will be responsible for return postage and an optional inspection fee (up to $20 USD) if an evaluation was completed.

  • Non-warranty-related returns will not be processed under this policy.

 

SECTION 5: WARRANTY RESOLUTION OPTIONS

Upon receiving and verifying your claim, we may offer one of the following resolutions, at our discretion:

  1. Repair of the product (if feasible)

  2. Replacement with the same or similar product (design and color may differ)

  3. Partial refund or store credit (in cases where repair or replacement is not viable)

  4. Discount coupon toward a future purchase (alternative remedy)

  5. Authorization for local repair reimbursement, capped at $15–$25, if the fix is minor and can be addressed by a local vendor (requires prior approval and receipt submission)

 

SECTION 6: WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

To initiate a claim:

  1. Email us at: hello@blackvoyage.com

    • Full legal name

    • Order number and proof of purchase

    • Clear photos and/or video showing the defect

    • Brief explanation of the issue and how the defect occurred

      Include the following:

       

  2. Our team will review your claim within 7–10 business days

    • Shipping the product to our facility

    • Proceeding with a local repair or alternative resolution

      If pre-approved, we will issue instructions for either:

       

  3. Please do not return any item without written pre-authorization

Unapproved returns will not be processed and will be held at the sender’s expense.

 

SECTION 7: TURNAROUND TIME

Warranty processing time begins upon receipt of the item at our warehouse and may vary depending on the nature of the claim.

  • Standard processing time is 3–4 weeks

  • During peak seasons, resolution may take up to 6–8 weeks

 

SECTION 8: FRAUDULENT OR ABUSIVE CLAIMS

Black Voyage reserves the right to deny service to any customer found to be submitting fraudulent, misleading, or repeat claims for the same product.

Any attempt to exploit or manipulate this policy may result in:

  • Immediate voiding of warranty coverage

  • Suspension of future warranty privileges

  • Rejection of claim with no compensation

 

SECTION 9: LEGAL DISCLAIMER

This Lifetime Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty offered by Black Voyage. It replaces and supersedes any prior warranty, oral or written, implied or expressed.

Black Voyage is not liable for:

  • Incidental damages (loss of time, travel inconvenience)

  • Consequential damages (lost revenue, emotional distress, etc.)

  • Loss of use of the product during the warranty process

In jurisdictions where limitation of implied warranties is not allowed, the above exclusions may not apply.

 

SECTION 10: DEFINITION OF “LIFETIME” POLICY LIMIT

The term “lifetime” as used in this warranty is defined as the products lifetime cycle which is a period of ten (10) years from the original date of purchase. This period represents the reasonable expected lifespan of Black Voyage travel products under normal usage.

Warranty claims made after this 10-year period will not be honored. Customers must provide proof of original purchase date to validate eligibility under this timeframe.
