The body under it packs the way you travel: 35L zips open to 50L, and sealing clothes into the detachable airtight compartment (Vortex™) takes the load to a 60L equivalent — what fits inside, not a bigger frame. IPX8 is a water rating, and it covers that compartment rather than the pack around it. Weighed off the production run: 2.1kg bare, 2.3kg with the compartment installed. The Vesper Air 24L gives you 24L of packing space in everyday mode — enough for a laptop, lunch and a gym kit at just 1.0 kg. Drop in the removable Vortex™ Vacuum Chamber and it holds up to 35L of clothing sealed into the same slim body.
The vacuum doesn't make the bag bigger — it removes the dead air trapped in your clothes, so soft layers collapse by about a third. (Denser items like denim and shoes compress less, and the vacuum shrinks volume, not weight.)
